Pavement, Apron & Hangar Inventory

One asset layer that answers lease questions, budget questions and grant questions at the same time.

Most small airports can answer questions about pavement, hangars and leaseholds — but the answers live in three different places and one person's memory. That works until that person retires, or until you need to show a funding agency what condition your pavement is actually in.

What this service is

We geo-reference pavement sections and condition, tie-downs, hangars, buildings and leasehold boundaries into a single asset layer, attributed so it answers operational, financial and grant questions from the same source.

Why one layer instead of three

Because the questions overlap. "Which hangars are on which leases" is a revenue question. "What condition is the apron in" is a capital planning question. "What did we tell FAA last time" is a compliance question. They all resolve to the same geometry, and keeping them apart is what causes the numbers to disagree.

What you get

  • Pavement sections with condition attributes suitable for capital planning
  • Hangars, tie-downs and buildings with leasehold boundaries where they exist
  • An attribute schema you can maintain in-house without specialist software
  • Exportable summaries for board reporting and grant documentation

Where drone capture helps

Apron and pavement inventory is one of the clearest cases for aerial capture: a single flight produces current imagery across the whole movement area, which is faster and less disruptive than walking it. We combine that with ground measurement where precision matters.
